GENERAL RULES & REGULATIONS OF THE TOURNAMENT (OVERALL)

1.  Smoking & Intoxication strictly prohibited in the playing area.

2. All are welcome to watch the matches, but please maintain strict silence.
Spectators are requested not to advise the players during the game.

3. Sledging the opponents (verbal clash) is not allowed.  Players are requested to exhibit their talent in their game.

4. Umpire's decision is FINAL in all aspects.  Players are requested not to argue with the umpire and are requested to play the game with Sportsman's Spirit.

5.  Players are requested to adhere to the Date & Time allotted to them to ensure smooth conduct of the tournament.  However, alternate date will be provided for participants on OB or tour.  In such cases the participant must inform the Office Bearers/Co-ordinators well in advance so that they can allot an alternate date. 

6. Players should not request alternate date during their weekly off or personal commitments.  There will be a grace time of two days maximum, provided the opponent agrees to the same.  Otherwise 2 points will be awarded to the player present on that day in the Preliminary Rounds.

7.  If the player doesn't turn up for the match and no communication is received from him/her in this regard, the opponent will be declared "Winner" on "Walk Over" basis.

8.  To help participants taking part in more than one game, Date & Time have been allotted accordingly.  Order of play might also change due to OB or tour commitments.  However, order for successive rounds will be STRICTLY AS PER THE ORDER OF THE ORIGINAL DRAW.
