Doordarshan Recreation Club comprises  of the employees of Doordarshan Kendra, Chennai.

Each member of Doordarshan Kendra, Chennai is a member of this club by default.

 Collecting a very small amount from the employees, several activities are carried out by this club, which include
  • Various Sports events like Carrom, Chess, Shuttle Badminton and Table Tennis
  • Gym comprising of fitness equipment like Cycling, Twister
  • Audio System, Television and Newspaper at Club Premises
  • Separate Sports activities for Women - Chess and Carrom
  • Magazines for Women
  • Medical Check-ups & Health Awareness Camps
  • Yoga Camp
  • Farewell Parties for retiring employees
  • Cultural activities, distribution of gifts for New Year's Day
